Boycott

After reading an extremely lengthy thread on Facebook about how spoiled the Met choristers are, I have decided to take a stand on this whole issue. My position is this- Boycott Parterre Box. That's right. You heard me. Boycott parterre.com. It's owner stated that the choristers wages are too high, and all they want is platinum covered toilet seats, so I think his viewership is too high, and someone needs to crap on him, and Bari-Chunks is full of crap. So I'm starting the hashtag #BoycottParterreBox. Join the revolution. Blogs are dumb anyway.

Post script-
Any blog that calls Bari-Chunk David Portillo 'the poor man's Stephen Costello' is clearly out of touch...

  3. I think what La Cieca said was that choristers might have to adjust their compensation and benefits from "platinum" to mere "gold". Twisting her words to suit your pout makes you a Bari-Flunk.

    1. No, he actually said 'uh, I asked for a platinum toilet seat, not gold!' He said this in reference to the choiristers demands to be compensated for all their work.

    2. Bari-flunk. That's a good one. Wonder what that makes you for accusing me of twisting his words, when I actually didn't. I'll go with Bari-wrong

  4. I'm glad you're not resorting to exaggeration just to make a point. I hate it when that happens.

  5. For heaven's sake, whatever happened to free speech? I read parterre daily and enjoy the free exchange of ideas on all sides of a question (any question). The fact that sometimes someone doesn't share my point of view would never lead me to boycott. It seems to me that listening to divergent opinions helps one to perceive other points of departure and modes of reasoning, and at the least helps one to refine arguments to support one's opinion intelligently. And sometimes it even can lead us to modify our original position, with humility.

    1. 'La cieca's' opinion on this issue are are, in my opinion, uninformed, and his tone in the conversation on Facebook was downright mean. I, under the same freedom of speech you seem to be so concerned about, am free to voice my opinion, which I am doing. God bless America. #boycottparterrebox

    1. Yes, I agree. Parterre box's writer's are pathetically ill informed on the issue of the Met negotiations. Thanks for agreeing!
